SMC is founded by Simba Mupandi who is a Zimbabwean born SA based architect and Tapiwa Zimunya-Mafuxwana, a UK based PHD student. Tapiwa is responsible for the European markets whilst Simba is focusing on the South African and African market. SMC collection is a hub for premium quality Afrocentric inspired socks. The company emanated from the need to conserve the African culture, art and crafts each day at a time. Having successfully established products which are mainly based on the South African culture and fashion, the founders are planning to expand the products to include the other African cultures in an artistic fashionable way.
